RSC Soft Matter Poster Prize
Shari Finner (Van der Schoot group, TU Eindhoven) won the RSC Poster Prize at the 3rd Edwards Symposium - New Horizons in Soft Matter which took place on 5-7 September 2018 at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences in Cambridge.
The Edwards Symposia are a collaboration between the Turing Gateway to Mathematics, Unilever and the Edwards Centre for Soft Matter. The latter is a virtual laboratory, encompassing staff from six Cambridge University Departments, whose role is to promote academic collaborations in Soft Matter Science across the University.

Best Poster Presentation Award
The DiSturc fellow Mariana Oshima Menegon
(Van der Schoot group, TU Eindhoven) won the Best Poster Award for Physics and Theory at the Dutch Polymer Days 2018
, 16-17 April 2018, Lunteren, The Netherlands. Mariana presented a poster entitled 'Phase diagram and cluster statistics of semi-flexible patchy rods'.
The forum was organised by the National Dutch Graduate School of Polymer Science and Technology (PTN)
. PTN is a partnership of all polymer technology groups of the universities of Delft, Eindhoven, Groningen, Leiden, Twente and Wageningen, as well as TNO Industry (v / h Plastics and Rubber Research Institute TNO
). The foundation aims to promote high-quality knowledge and expertise in the field of polymer technology in the Netherlands.

DiSturc fellow Max Tortora presented his poster entitled 'Modelling the emergence of liquid-crystalline chirality' in the Future of Chemical Physics conference, held in Oxford, August 31 - September 2, 2016.
The conference was organised by the AIP Publishing Horizons and sponsored by The Journal of Chemical Physics. It is designed to facilitate conversation between innovative researchers at the forefront of chemical physics. You can view Max's poster here.
