DiStruc project title: Lattice-Boltzmann simulations on complex flow of Liquid Crystalline systems
Supervisors: Julia Yeomans, Pavlik Lettinga, Célia Mercader
I studied Civil Engineering and subsequently Applied Physics at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. During my master's I stayed at the University of Cambridge for a research project for six months, working in Biological and Complex Fluids in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. In my PhD I will be working with Prof Julia Yeomans on the complex flow behaviour of liquid crystals using Lattice-Boltzmann techniques. In my free time I like to go running and during my PhD I would like to get involved in the Oxford University Cross Country Club. Besides, I like to read, go to concerts and to the theatre.
